What is the Nihongo for “mane”? It isn’t a common word in English, but it is used a lot in our phonics book. After 25 years in Japan I still don’t know a lot of words - gomen ne… So I have a dictionary - on my iPad. I use this in class - it is big enough to show students the answer and let them read it for themselves. So - mane - in Japanese it is “tategami” and the kanji is 鬣. (But you knew that, didn’t you…)
